Elite sport at its finest, and commencing next week <cheers>

I will be devouring every second of it.

The main risk to England is we have quite a few Chuks Aneke types in our squad …sure enough pace bowler Mark Wood has pulled up lame in the first warm up game today.

I count myself privileged to have witnessed probably the best team of all time whilst I was in Australia for the 98 and 2002 series.

Adam Gilchrist, what a fantastic all rounder.

Yes I will be watching it. I was thinking how long it will be before Wood breaks down. It hasn’t taken long. I don’t think we will play Bashir in the first Test.

Both times when out for the tests we'd not see every day or an entire days play. Travelling 11,000 miles there were plenty of other things to see as well.

On the 4th day of the Melbourne test in '98 I had booked a trip to a Penguin parade which meant only seeing the first two sessions. My mate was keen to go but all depended on how the game was going. Anyway, at tea the aussies were three down and I was certain we'd be back the next day to see us finish them off, my mate was not sure but decided to go.

We got to the penguin parade and my mate found out we rolled them over and won<party>, he was not best pleased<laugh>.

I bought him a VB to calm him down.

Jofra & Stokes won’t last the course either.
