I remember people taking it to parties and then drinking decent lager that others had bought - sort of thing Elfs would do
My go to pint is Hurlimann swiftly followed by Staropramen, don’t touch spirits but do enjoy a glass of red wine- got me fancying a pint now !
I have drunk Fosters in Australia and it was very good, unlike the urine poured in the UK. As for parties, I was never so popular as to be invited
I do, I have a mate (stop laughing at the back) who uttered the immortal words 'only women and nobs drink gin', I couldn't possibly comment on that. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Mrs Elfs likes drinking gin and tonic, I never touched it(the gin, not Mrs Elfs) until I ran out of lager here one night. Pink Gin and Tonic is very tasty I have to say, I have been missing out in life. Suffice to say once I get into the Bromley spoons next March, after a Punk IPA I shall be downing a large gin and tonic. To not disappoint people, it will be on a Monday as you have the Monday club in the one by South station. They are then almost giving the stuff away. You have gotta love a spoons.
Each to their own. There's nowt wrong with Wether spoons, although it's sometime since I was in one, my choice of pre-match watering hole is bang opposite one. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
I am pleased that you are not a pub snob like one of our members, I can only assume disposable income stretches further in Hull than the North East of Brazil. Can you still get a beer for under £4.50 in your gaff?
Nothing wrong with Spoons. There is no other place in London where you can buy a round of 5 pints for under a tenner believe me , I know. Tim Martin deserves a knighthood.
If it is good enough for a man of your substance, Bob the Builder needs to take note Wtf people want to pay £3 or more for a beer when you are next door to a spoons is beyond me. As for getting a chicken burger and chips with a pint for less than £10
I’ve recently lost 2 stone you tit, if you lost 2 stone you’d have to block the plug hole for risk of a nasty accident.
Bud Light £1.99 Carlsberg £2.25 The same pint in O’Neills costs £3.85 Monday to Thursday (then it goes up..)
So you can go through the normal barriers now rather than the wide doors for luggage. On a serious level, well done. I realised you were a 40" waist so am pleased your mobility is a lot easier.
Let me reiterate- I avoid the spoons down here , Hernia Bay and Whitstable, because of the oiks and lowlifes that frequent these establishments
I know that our current Moderator @Dick Plumb1 is keen on Whitstable. Can you advise him on property down there
Poor excuse to try and deflect from the fact you are a pub s/nob. When was the last time you used either of the spoons in Canterbury?
I reckon @Smudger603 comes from the cheap seats at the Thanet end someone told me the VOTV editor was his neighbour
