It's not unusual on internet debates to find some people have difficulty with believing that two things can be true at the same time. For example, Kyle Joseph is very good at some things (working hard, pressing, stopping the opposition from playing) and very bad at others (taking chances, creating chances for others, controlling the ball). At the moment I think the manager feels like the first outweighs the second. I suspect that if we ever have a fully fit squad the front three will be permed from McBurnie, Gelhardt, Belloumi and Millar, and Joseph will be a (good) option to bring on and close down a game that we're winning.
Yeah, I said pretty similar a couple of pages back. Seems the obvious way to go. These days the squad is much more important with the number allowed on the bench and the amount of subs permitted but also particularly, as we’re seeing now with a large amount of injuries.
But that simply isn’t true. It seems to be one of these football fan things that because he works hard he has poor technique and can’t be good with the ball. It’s the same with left footers for some reason it’s a problem when they’re one footed but not for right footers. Or having two left footed centre backs. Joseph has gone from strength to strength this season and if not for being denied by some world class saves he’d be well on his way to double figures and right up there with the leagues top scorers. People talk about him as if he’s no better than Tom Eaves or Josh Magennis just because he does a lot of running.
bournemouth have apparently had scouts at our last 6 games, its all well and good selling joseph for 4m in jan, but we cant buy a replacement it will derail our play off hopes once again, when we need consistency amongst our players starting
Brentford have been keeping close tabs on him and I would be disappointed if we let him go for £4m but we aren’t in a position to be turning down bids for any of our players. I think he would be really difficult to replace.
Maybe on loan that could work really well for both teams actually and wouldn’t be surprised to see that happen. Good shout.
Or Pandur, Giles, Belloumi if they got the right day... More likely they'd heard about Christine's steak pie in Minerva
The car crash that is our financial situation was laid out pretty clear for all to see in the summer. Besides that he’s not going to turn down money for players that enables him to reduce the asking price and sell the club quicker/easier.
This reminds me alot of when there was a story going round of a bidding war between Liverpool and Leicester for Max Clark!
