Or holding and winning the 2nd leg of the champions league semi final against real Madrid in front of 63000.
Wasn’t there talk that an extension which focused on corporate would give a capacity of 53k or so, with about 1000 extra corporate spaces? That is easily logical ‘right now’ we’d have sole 4.5k extra for the majority of games this season. 60k is too far right now.
Part of me wants the club to follow up finishing higher than Newcastle by announcing the immediate expansion to 62,000 along with a helicopter terminal and a monorail. Being serious I'd rather we just went for 62,000 than gradually creep things up incrementally ... ... if we truly believe, lets just go for it.
Aye there’s an argument for it. Like ‘if we breaking eggs we may as well knock up the whole fry up’ Probably cost a lot more to do in 2 parts so there’s that too. Ill trust the club, if they think its time for 60k, **** it I’m in!
I have the feeling the club are already way ahead of whatever thoughts we have ... ... as my 'signature' says and to credit John Milton "They also serve who only stand and wait" ----------------------------------------- For anyone who appreciates prose from poets in the 1600's this is a cracker ... ... Milton is like the Kevin Bridges of 400 years ago. "When I consider how my light is spent, Ere half my days, in this dark world and wide, And that one Talent which is death to hide Lodged with me useless, though my Soul more bent To serve therewith my Maker, and present My true account, lest he returning chide, “Doth God exact day-labour, light denied?” I fondly ask. But patience, to prevent That murmur, soon replies, “God doth not need Either man’s work or his own gifts; who best Bear his mild yoke, they serve him best. His state Is Kingly: thousands at his bidding speed, And post o’er land and ocean without rest; They also serve who only stand and wait.”
