It's been claimed, all season, that Sunderland have played teams 'just at the right moment'.

In this case I'd have to agree,

Fulham are currently knee deep in a relegation battle but seem totally oblivious to the fact

They've become complacent, know they're just making up the numbers and going through the motions ...

... the manager, complaining about their poor recruitment, gave their players just the excuse they needed.

In my opinion they're going down and we need to really blitz them when we go there.

It could be the easiest away points we'll get all season.

I'm not sure it will be a walkover but I do think we're better than them all over the park and have got to be targeting 3 points

They’ve still got some decent characters in that side so I don’t think it will be an easy game but we certainly need to be targeting wins in our next two with the early December fixtures.

They’ve won the important home games so far this season. A point next week would be a good result down there, keep us ticking along

You're right that there are no easy games, Arsenal found that out on Saturday.

Fulham are in a real mess though.

They've won one of their last seven which was against Wolves who played for an hour with ten men, they've lost all the rest.

In the last game they won, back in September against Brentford, they only had three attempts on target, scored three and one was an OG <laugh>

And before that game they'd only scored one goal from open play.

They're exactly the kind of side we need to be beating and anything but a win will be really disappointing.

Silva looks like he's lost interest and it's clear, to me anyway, that it's the beginning of the end for him ...

... I'd guess he's already watching the situation at other clubs and making plans.

Him being on the lookout for another gig seems to be an open secret down there, its consistent with his MO when things start getting tough.

Fair play on the detail you've provided, I didn't appreciate how poor they have been.

Get all the lads back from international duty unscathed and maybe one or two back in the squad Alderete, maybe Mundle and then look to get after these and see if they are up for it.

They are a good side IMO.

But that manager is a queer bloke and looks like he's trying to get out of there. That might not help them.

Bit of a weird stand off. His contract is up in the summer. Wont sign a new one because investment in the squad is poor. Wont invest in the squad because mgr wont sign? Odd way to run a club.

I know, it’s a bit of a shocker, they’ve barely been mentioned as relegation candidates …

… but they’ll have seen Forest and West Ham win who are only just below them.

Once panic sets in it takes a grip and every pass seems to go astray, so we just have to repeat what we did against Chelsea & Arsenal and go there to get in their faces from the start.

Our support will play a big part, they always seem quiet at Fulham.

A few of the Mags at the tests I was at yesterday were muttering about those two starting to pick results up as well.

    Imagine man....

I've said before that there's always a club dragged into a relegation battle that no one previously expected to. Fulham could easily be this season's.

I’ve seen Man Utd, Spurs, West Ham, Man City, Derby, Forest, Leicester, Chelsea, etc all relegated in my time …

… that’s title winners, CL winners, FA Cup winners etc all thinking it would never happen to them.

Just as Newcastle believed the last time it did happen to them <laugh>

Yep seen them all relegated too mate, given the absolute tinderbox state of mind I saw first hand yesterday (from an admittedly small sample of their support), the fallout from them getting relegated after them thinking they were going to be winning the PL and CL having sold their souls to the Saudi's would be something to behold.

What appears to be happening is that they’re starting to blame the recruitment team/Howe/Isak/Pope/EPL/referees/PSR/the Cartel, etc …

… in fact anyone but their ‘lord and masters’ because they daren’t.

They just can’t take the risk of upsetting the Saudis so they’re trapped.

Just imagine if Ashley was there at the moment.

Wow, they’d be carrying coffins through the streets, shouting at shops and staging walk outs/sit ins and everything in between. They’re like puppy dogs hanging their tongues out, wagging their tales and hoping for another treat.

It’s absolutely pitiful to watch …

… but hilarious in equal measure <laugh>
