They didn’t really back Ralph, Martin (in PL) and didn’t back still. Gaping holes in the squad. How many seasons will we continue without a striker?
Pretty sure we’ve signed a striker the last 3 summers as well, don’t think we did the first year with SR under Hassenhuttl until Jan
Oh yeah, so in the 7 windows SR have had we have signed at least one striker in 5 of them (don’t think we signed one in the promotion season Jan or in the second relegation season Jan) Investment I don’t think is anything you can question SR about, who they’ve invested in and who they’ve chosen to manage those players has been the issue
I wish people would stop saying this, as it’s untrue. We did buy a striker in the summer, it’s just he’s not very good, as it turns out.
Interesting that there are still no rumours. We have had enough time by now to interview any candidates we are interested in, particularly if they are out of work. Seems pretty certain that despite what Spors said to the fan forum, Tonda is getting a full trial run as the new manager.
But you alluded to there being no financial backing which clearly isn't true. We're probably close to spending more on players since SR turned up than the rest of our history combined. Not spending the money hasn't been the problem, it's been that most of it has been spent poorly.
Even though he is statistically the most successful Cameron Archer - £15m - 7 Goals Paul Onuachu - £15m - 4 Goals Ross Stewart - £8m - 3 Goals Sekou Mara - £11m - 8 Goals Damion Downs - £7m - 0 Goals
Trying to think of them. Got a couple of important ones v Hudders and City league cup QF. Struggling to think of others.
50 appearances though. I swear Ross Stewart has only played about once, so his goals per minutes will be better presumably.
****ed if I remember the 3 FA Cup ones from the championship season. Not even sure who we played that year before going out to Liverpool. No idea who his PL one was against either.
