Talking of which. Just seen those videos of people being washed off of the harbour wall and out of a sea pool in Tenerife. It’s crazy how some people just do not understand the power of tons of water heading straight at you. Let’s get a bit closer and take a picture, I’m sure it will be fine ……
Been pushing to be discharged from hospital and into a hotel until I am cleared to fly. (Chest drain means I have to wait until 19th) seems insurance and hospital have decided I will stay here until then due to kidney transplant?? FML
Still, good news about the chest being drained. Best of luck. You can trust a Turkish doctor. Probably. Good morning.
Nightmare for you. The later problem will then be the insurance company finding an airline who will agree to fly you home. They had to hire an air ambulance for me in the end, with an ambulance waiting at the airport once back in the UK. Although the insurance company did pay for my mrs to stay with me, so hotel and return flight or she could stay in the private hospital room which had an additional bed.
I have a family member with me in my room, will be my non medical escort, not ideal but support if needed is on site. Checking airline rules and it appears all flying from Turkey to UK are happy with a 2 week wait and a pre flight CT scan to prove the drain site is healed. Glad others have experienced similar with hospitals/insurance and are still around to tell the tale. Just bored now
