He is noticeable. One of his strengths at the very least should be drawing players out of position, to the advantage of the team as a whole.
But I appreciate that needs others to be quick to take advantage.
Maybe given another dozen games he will improve. If not, then he can't complain if Jones sidelines him.
Half a season should be ample chance to show something.

What would be a bonus this season is finishing above you-know-who :emoticon-0172-mooni

Conor Coventry called up for international duty by Republic of Ireland.

After a shaky start, the Docherty / CC axis in our midfield has improved markedly. They are not going to create much, but in terms of energy & organisation they are a decent pairing.

They are a good solid pairing.

There’s definitely been a slight downturn in the way we are playing in recent weeks, certainly since Ipswich. We are never going to be a team that plays amazing football, it’s more than likely that other scouts have worked us out.

The longer it goes on with our strikers not hitting the back of the net, the quicker we will start touching the bottom six.

I would certainly taken ninth at the beginning of the season. Especially with Godden out. We have really hard games coming up with teams like Stoke and Coventry on the horizon. With so many players injured, it is going to be tough.

Two of our recent ex players on the new free agents list. Both shyte, although Global told us differently at the time.

Craig Dawson would be good as a stop gap.

    I’d give our start a solid 8/10.

The only obvious deficiency is our lack of goal power.

It’s been suggested elsewhere that to address our lack of goal power we sign free agent Patrick Bamford. He’s on that list I posted yesterday.

He’s got a good scoring track record in the Championship.

    Thoughts ?

I'm delighted, and very surprised, at our start. It's all the better considering we're under a two window long transfer ban. :emoticon-0138-think

Slight derailment Wrighty, but as it’s boring international week, dicky will forgive me.

How is Dean Holden getting on at Hull ?

Bamford is a very experienced player. Would he want to come to us?

According to social media this morning he was on £70,000 a week at Dirty Leeds…so I think that probably rules us out & explains why he’s a free agent.
