Sadly so. And by the same bedwetting crew, as well. But don’t tell them they are ‘entitled’ or ‘princesses’
No. CS is just realistic and isn’t an over expectant and unrealistic fan. The journey we’re on has ups and downs in the path. That was all agreed by everybody at the start. Some of us remember that and can see it will take time and that it all won’t be plain sailing. Some of us have clearly forgotten that. We are talking about humans here. Nobody is perfect and we all make mistakes. How would you feel if a plan was set in place where you work for 5 to 10 years to achieve certain targets and then you were sacked because you didn’t achieve it in 4 years? Nobody is pretending things aren’t perfect. We have had a manager who has over achieved in the entire time he has been here. He gets off to a poor start ( with some reasons for that eg Isak ) and some idiots want him sacked rather than give him some time to turn things round. The perfect definition of over entitled fans.
I'm saying I've seen a million different lines of blame or excuses, but the biggest moment in the game on Sunday was a red card and a pen, which was easily avoidable via a managerial decision. If that was Steve Bruce or Pardew we wouldn't be seeing anyone or anything else dragged out the excuse file. I'm not Howe out, but I'm not into messiahs or being a deciple... Credit when due and vice versa.
There's no point sacking Howe imo, but you shouldn't be so sure the people who want him gone are idiots, because they might turn out to be correct. It's two different opinions. He either gets things back together which is possible or it gets worse and he falls on his own sword... That's fair.
I agree. Right this moment he needs to improve and fast. We have two games coming in the PL against Man City home (tough but we may turn up) and Everton Away (our away form is crap). Lose both and we are played 13 won 3 drawn 3 and lost 7. There’s a chance we get results mind. Things cant keep getting worse for him……. But people surely have to admit that in the PL this season we have been crap. Excuses are everywhere.
Too soon to sack someone who's done very well until now. I like to let people go out the correct and proper way and he could very well still succeed if he gets Livramento Hall and Wissa in the team. However that's all hypothetical and right now Newcastle are poor.
Howe will get to the end of the season no worries. If we arent in Europe when the league ends (and haven't won a cup for example) then its up to the new DOF/CEO/PIF to decide if they will pull the trigger or support Howe into the following season. Unless we are in relegation trouble in Feb/Mar I cant see any change of manager. Howe will sort this out, and by that I mean be in the top half of the league soon enough but until he gets Wissa back or changes his formation then its going to be very bumpy.
Shouldn’t be anywhere near this bad given he doesn’t seem to like Hall, spent £80m on a striker who is fit and has two other available right backs. It’s the equivalent of Arsenal being without Timber, Myles Skelly and Havertz. They’d still be top.
Think we're going data driven, so that will help if there's money available. I don't know why it's taken so long to accept it, but we're finally on the right path. So many prem clubs winning games on set prices and long throws, which has all started from data and recruiting based on that.
Aye but Arsenal have spent £1+Bn with Arteta and have won the same number of cups as we have in that time. Arsenal now have the squad to compete but it took them a load of money and time. We are 50% there in money and time compared to them and Arteta had a top 4 squad as a starting point. Howe had a bottom 4 squad that was fit for the championship.
The team needs to evolve to make the next step to being a regular top 4 side, unfortunately we seem to have regressed. The team's lost it's intensity we never look like we cant control a match, it the same plays week in week out. We're so predictable that teams can happily sit back and watch us struggle to work past them, Howe doesnt seem to have worked out what to do to get around that. Love the guy and will be forever grateful for what he's done in the last 4yrs, but he has to show that he is the man that can push us on, he's got players he wanted, he now needs to come up with a system that will get them playing and winning again.
Aye fair point but as has just been said this is the big moment for Howe to prove doubters wrong and, to be fair, I hope he does.
And even then he shouldn't be sacked. He built a team around Isak. He now needs time to build the team around Woltemade
