That’s great. Where is that available? Paddy Power and Sky Bet aren’t showing any odds yet.

80/1 on us to win the cup?

That’s a mental price for a PL team.

Also took us 16s and 12s to finish top half and 40s top 6, all £10 except £5 on the Cup.

Noticed Harvey Elliott not making the first team squad anymore at Villa. Seemed quite popular on here in the summer.

Part of me thinks a lot of previous targets will be linked again and we have a better chance of getting them now. Yilmaz and Sara from Galatasaray. Maybe even Openda and Harvey Elliot if their loans can be agreed to mutual termination. No doubt there are some players that we aren’t even aware of that we really wanted but couldn’t convince to join a perceived relegation scrap.

With a strong start and a lot of attention on us, another part of me thinks that we might be about to jump up a level yet again and all those names aren’t ambitious enough. with additional data/scouting budget from the prem money, Ghilsolfi in the role for longer getting his feet under the table, a skyrocketing reputation for nurturing players, and one of the most exciting projects in world football. Wow. The sky really is the limit.

Sure I was reading it was something to do with the DoF that left after the wimdow and unai didn’t fancy him, think he has to make so many appearances to make it permanent

Yilmaz would be beautiful. Sara is quality too but we have Granit.

    I’d still buzz off Elliott.

I can’t see Yilmaz happening. He’s been starting at Galatasaray week in, week out.

Of course but they’re different players at different stages of their careers. I do hope we go back in for him mind, good player.

Rigg kinda doesn’t count next season as he’s still u21. Hjelde was registered as non-homegrown this season. Two of the four keepers are out of contract this summer. Add that to the other expiring contracts plus players who are likely to move on. Not sure what happens with Mayenda. Hopefully he gets classified as we could really do with some long term HG squad players. However the rules are opaque. There’s only really 2 homegrown senior pros that I’m confident will be with us next season. Three at a push. Meanwhile we’ve got 18+ foreign senior pros who we will be likely to need to register next season. That already means someone is missing out before we even think about signing anyone. Whatever we do in January needs to set us up for next season.

I think that the heavy lifting has been done on the transfer front and that we shall see only one major signing in January. This may also be the case for subsequent windows, unless we choose to sell players. The focus will be on identifying and acquiring young talent to develop for the future so that we already have replacements in house before we sell.
Of course that's not to say that if a player, that we rate , at a price we can afford, becomes available unexpectedly that we wouldn't take advantage of that situation.

In other words, we can think what we like but the club will decide and to be fair they're not doing too bad at the moment. I think I'll just watch and enjoy. Its really rather pleasant to be in this situation. I'm not used to it.
