After a bit of a mixed bag in the last five games this next run becomes massively important but with some really tough fixtures on the list. Personally feel this could be the run that’ll make or break the season for us with a third of the league games gone and half the CL games played.

    5/10 - Athletic Club (Home - CL)
This game marks the half way point of the CL campaign and it won’t be an easy game but under the lights at SJP it’s a chance to put down a really marker on our chances of qualifying for the knockouts. Athletic have mirrored our results so far with 1 win and 2 losses and similarly to us having a mixed bag in their league (sitting 11th currently).

    9/10 - Brentford (Away - EPL)
A trip down to London to face the Bee’s who are currently a point and a place above us in the table at present, although we have a decent record against them, winning 7 and drawing one of the last 10 fixtures but will need a much better performance than our last league game.

    22/10 - Man City (Home - EPL)
Always one of the toughest fixtures going but at least it’s at home after the international break. Priority must be keeping Haaland quiet with the big Norwegian in fine form this season scoring 17 in 13 games for City so far this year and his goals alone contributing to 10 points in the league, only failing to find the back of the net in 2 games so far this season (both of which the citizens have lost).

    25/10 - Marseille (Away - CL)
Another tough away game in the CL and Marseille have the same record as Bilbao so far in the CL. OM are sitting 2 points of PSG in Ligue 1 in second place so will certainly have a bit about them. But if we pick up 4-6 points in these 2 CL games that should be enough to put us on with a good chance to qualify for the knockout rounds.

    29/10 - Everton (Away - EPL)
Last game in the run and in November is a trip to the Hill Dickinson Stadium for the first time for the Magpies and Everton have been pretty solid at home only losing to Spurs at home (in their last home game). Very much a must win game for us this one and the run could well be season defining part of the season.

Let’s be having your predictions for points won in both comps!

Seem to be better for CL games and if there’s a repeat of West Ham then there’s something wrong, but I think we’ll continue to struggle in the PL with our one dimensional approach and no plan b.

WDLDL for me, 5 points in total.

Don’t be silly, not the squad, just our best players.
