    I agree with this, but ... I'm coming to the conclusion it must be a deliberate policy. We're almost willing to allow crosses to come in, or leave wide men completely unmarked, in order to have more bodies blocking shots and defending the box, and possibly to start counter-attacks. It's a slightly Russian roulette style of play, though. The heart attack football we were promised, only a year late. And -- by and large -- it's working. It's certainly entertaining.

    Sport in the states, like cricket here, has a constant flow of breaks which means people being up and down all the time like you say isn't a problem, agree with everything you've said

    Used to be a massive thing to throw toilets rolls onto the pitch when a goal was scored too. That fad came and went as the throwing beer in the air will.
    Better than throwing punches as it was in the 70's.
