With the caveat that I missed the game and haven’t had the stomach to watch the highlights it’s an interesting debate about the qualities, or otherwise, of Farke as a premier league coach/manager, can his tactics and style of play work in this division. My view is yes they can but you need a very talented squad of players, we simply don’t have that. So the question asked is can a coach adapt to deal with what he’s got and grind out wins, this is where I think DF can’t do that, so my opinion is that, reluctantly, change is needed. The current favourite sounds all wrong for this team as we don’t possess an ounce of pace in the transition when winning the ball. I’m inclined to agree with WW that Steve Cooper would be the best fit. Rodgers has too much ego for a relegation battle.

Daniel Farke was 2's to be the next Prem Manager to go this morning. He is now 1/2.

Interesting as well that I’m reading that Farke should be replaced now, so any new coach has time to work with the players. Won’t most be away with their countries for the internationals? So would we be throwing a new manager in who could be looking at four consecutive defeats to start as no time on the training ground with them. How would that sit with the fans? How does that increase confidence?

What a waste of time these international breaks are. And so many of them :emoticon-0113-sleep ffs. No wonder Palace have a fixture congestion.

But I’m sure we’ll relent to their wishes of moving the game. Inconveniencing our fans in the process.

Get rid of international breaks - problem solved.

    We’re just so accommodating.

Farke has massively over compensated his approach to try and avoid a Norwich repeat ... he's moved his attacking number 10 all the way back to the Kalvin Phillips holding role, leaving a lone striker to try and cope on his own up front

Bielsa used the Phillips role to free up his midfielders and full backs to get deep into the opposition half, safe in the knowledge that KP was sitting in front of the CBs as protection

Farke's holding mid system is different, he keeps his midfielders from bombing into the opposition box as security, and the wingers also drop back when the full backs overlap ... caution rather than risk

Farke is also okay with sitting back and letting the opposition play in our half, when maybe attacking more unsettles the opposition

then there's Farke's inability to read opposition managers making subtle changes, costing us games

Sunderland once again showed against Arsenal that playing without fear and attacking these "dominating" teams can bear fruit ... the top end teams don't know how to respond when an underdog goes at them ... they expect the game to be a stroll with their inferior opponents focused on damage limitation rather than a result ... Arsenal were shaken by Sunderland, and more will follow

Brentford have also taken the game to "better" teams this season when they are supposed to be relegation candidates under Andrews, shorn of their manager and key players ... at home they have played Villa, Scum, Chelski, Pool, Citeh and Toon and amassed 13 points!!!

Leeds look like getting just one point from those exact same home fixtures

    Farke has to go, today!

Leeds can't afford to hang on into January, it will be too late ... unfortunately Farke will not improve as a manager, he is good at Championship level but clearly out of his depth against Prem managers ... ffs even Keith Andrews, a beginner at this level, is looking better than him, and that says all you need to know

our players are good enough to do damage, they just need to be let off the leash

Agreed. He needs to go asap to give ourselves a chance. This squad is good enough to stay up.

As to his replacement, people are employed by the club and get paid big bucks to make that decision. So I won’t be wasting my valuable time pondering something that’s beyond my control.

All I do know is there will be someone out there who’s more tactically astute and inspirational.

There just has to be. Otherwise we may as well start planning for the Championship now.

Didn't realise we'd been relegated already. Bit early for anyone to be a smug bastard.
