From what I have seen of him, along with Burrell, are 2 amazing signings. At this present moment, play him as RB , as I have banged on for ages that Dunne is a terrible RB. I'm actually really excited, JS needs time to understand his squad. I'm really confident we will finish in the top 10

Saw the first half and thought the game was there for the taking. With the right substitutions. But the latter clearly did not happen. So we didn't.

Too many changes for every game for my liking to get a top ten finish. I predict another season of 16th/17th without the consistency of selection.

Great preparation. He wasn't even aware of the 8 seconds rule (which he thinks is 6 seconds) hilarious

The twists of Hamer and swapping Dunne/Mbengue worked and JS deserves some credit as bringing in Hamer was ballsy. Mbengue did get forward well and put in a couple of decent crosses but also hashed probably his best/easiest opportunity, got a yellow for killing someone on the halfway line and was ghosted past far too easily second half and probably should have come off.

The subs weren’t good though at all. Frey, bless him, is pointless. You might as well chuck Dunne up front and bring a defender on if you want a target man. The bloke looks totally cooked. Vale was never really in the game and at a time we needed some legs was probably the worst of the three options. How he didn’t give one of the others 15 minutes for Chair is beyond me.

Quite like Morgan as the reserve right-back. We need a way to get him involved more which should be as the Madsen replacement really but it’ll do.

The refs have obviously had had an email to clamp down on it for a week before forgetting again after it happening in successive games after being entirely ignored for three months.

    Exactly my thoughts.

How can so-called professional footballers not be aware of the rules of the game they play?

Why didn't the so-called professional coaches inform the players?

We seem to be run by amateurs in so many ways.

Unless the bloke doesn’t watch football or keep up with the news at all he must have known surely. I don’t blame the coach as it’s so well-known. Like saying he didn’t realise you can’t pick up the ball if it’s straight to him from a throw.

When the back pass rule came in did any keepers just instinctively pick the ball up early on? Those who remember rationing may be able to answer.

Did anybody else notice how QPR players lined up on the centre circle before kick off? 5 white players on one side of the keeper and 5 black players on the other.

Not saying there is a racial divide between the players. Maybe it was just a coincidence but it is something I noticed.

I think Varane is mixed race. Was he in the middle?

Varane, Mbengue, Kone, Dembele and Burrell on one side of Hamer, Dunne, Field, Cook, Madsen and Chair on the other.

As I said, not saying there is an issue but I thought it was strange.

I think I can safely say it’s a coincidence even if Madsen does look like he could play a minor role as a German in a WWII film.

Think Hamer had his tongue stuck well in his cheek on that one.

As I think, nobody has mentioned it. I thought Madsen had another decent game, though I was watching via a poor video stream.

You could think the opposite, and that's mainly because he played a defensive role: he tackled, made interceptions, and never stopped chasing everything down, and also tried to get the ball forward to Burrell when given the opportunity. Yet again, he has surprised me as I didn't think this was in his locker.

We didn't give him the ball enough yesterday. I have been his biggest critic especially on his performances last season. This season, he's actually been one of our most consistent players. He moves the ball well and always looks to move the play positively. He didn't get as many opportunities to do this yesterday as our play was more about clearances and hopeful balls.

I must say, I really enjoyed my little trip to Sheffield on Saturday. Got talking to a couple of their fans in the pub before the match and found them quite friendly.

At half time, I left my ruck sack on the shelf at the back of the stand. I only realised I didn;t have it on about 85 minutes. The rucksack contained my passport, all my cards, a small amount of cash etc. To my relief, the stewards found it and brought it to the main reception. I had a tight schedule after the match to get the train to Manchester airport for my flight home so my passport was ultra important. To save me some time walking all the way around to the main stand, the stewards brought me behind the stands to bring me to the main reception to save me time in collecting the ruck sack.

For a nil-nil, I thought the match was decent enough and quite enjoyable. The friendly locals and efficient stewards made my first trip there less dull than it would have otherwise been. I seen R'ss fans travelling to Stockport and Manchester on my train and met some others who had travelled from Leeds. I met a Swedish R and 6 of us Irish R's travelled over from Ireland. All in all, an enjoyable trip on the road.
