Lots of teams spend big and drop off - West Ham. I just think we've overplayed players for last couple of years with injuries and it's taking its toll
Howe fought for full control and was given it, so he's going to fall on his own sword... He's left himself nobody else to blame, so he's blaming Botman and confidence. The look on his face and the tone of his voice is exactly the same as when Steve Bruces Newcastles thumped his Bournemouth side 4-1. I'm not Howe out, but it's coming I think guys.. The investment is at risk.
Can't control and pass the ball, can't win second balls, can't win a header from an attacking corner, can't defend a long throw, can't press anymore, can't play out from the back, get caught on the ball on the edge of our own box. Howe making mental decisions, not bringing Burn off as soon as he was booked is indefensible, brings Tonali off for Willock ffs. He needs to sort it because he isn't learning from his mistakes. We look like a **** Sunday morning team.
It's not like we've been unlucky and somehow just can't get a win away despite playing well, we are lucky that we only lost 3-1 to West Ham and Brentford, 5 or 6-1 would have been fairer scorelines, that's how bad it has been, let's not pretend otherwise, it's been ****ing horrific.
Just like our last CL campaign we are spread too thin. That's partly poor management in adapting, but also the fact we've yet to undo the years of underinvestment that a combination of Ashley and PSR have achieved.
I don't like nasty stuff.. He made a ridiculous error Today though and that's the bottom line. He's probably got enough credit so survive all season no matter what occurs. Half the people being so unpleasant were all hanging out his arse and blaming Mitchell all summer.
We are not spread too thin. Howe has his favourites, he plays those favourites until they break down. Burn is a CB, Howe did the same last season and played him LB and we are having the same conversations now as we did back then. Either play the young lad or if you are never going to do that then make sure you have a 2nd choice LB recruited. Howe wont be sacked and I dont want him to be but I am concerned that most people think that it will come good as Howe has done that before. Big Nick is a number 10, everybody knows that but Howe has his team set up as if he is a number 9. 9 times out of 10, we can all predict the team sheet and the subs - they are done in the 60-70 min and seem pre-determined. Howe does not react to what he sees on the pitch. It's only when a goal is conceded, he throws on 3 subs. Maybe be proactive, maybe got 5 at the back, maybe bring on more midfielders to allow Tonali to sit and mop up? Howe is stubborn and it's clear he has his favourites. He needs to turn this around quickly but Man City,Everton and Sunderland are our next 3 and I wouldn't be surprised to see us lose all of them unless he changes tactics and formation.
Calmed down a bit. He ****ed up bigtime and I think he knows it. The players need to take a long hard look in the mirror.
Don't want the guy shot like Made a few mistakes and is getting on my tits but I can't believe the former happy clappers are going for his throat (not the ones on here)
