One part of the managerial saga is now complete, Middlesbrough will probably be looking at the same candidates as we are.
I'm more than happy to give Tonda a few games after the International break. If you've interviewed the candidates you want, and no one stands out, take some more time.
Regardless of our last 2 results, Tonda is not the man to take us forward. The upturn in results is purely as a result of the players deciding to turn up for a bit now Still has gone. The second he is confirmed as the new Boss full time, our incredibly brave and hardworking players will completely chin it off again. There's no way the usual suspects are going to respect and work for him
You old cynic , you! Though you could be right. Obviously delighted that Saints have just won two on the bounce, and Tonda does deserve credit. He may well make a very good manager in time, but not now. However, I did like his interview. I don't usually listen to these cliche ridden chats, but i did love the fact that he said it was a proud moment for both the player and himself when he bought on one of 'his' U21 players.I liked that. Told me something about the relationship he has with his squad, and the fact that he says he is with us because of the reputation of our academy was good to hear. Good luck with that. It would be great to get back to producing excellent home-grown players again. For now, I'm with the 'please could we have someone who knows what (s)he is doing?' train of thought.
Yeah fair enough, an accumulation of reading how he thinks Pompey are better than us and Mousinho is the second coming of christ despite actually doing nothing spectacular relative the squad and budget they have. This was just the straw that broke the camels back!
