How nice has it been for all our summer signings to make an impact for a change also?

Even Big Dave who is probably the most underwhelming in terms of quality has won us a game.

Only one now is Williams who will definitely prove his worth after this break me thinks

Terrific team goal. Commentators on EFL show last night were waxing lyrical about it

Slater’s run allowed it to make it to Destan too as it threw the Pompey defender off

Personally I thought both were not fouls, but it only matters what the ref decides. We've all seen them given as fouls.

Is it the crime of the century though?
I know it isn't allowed etc but come on, in the same stadium, in the same city, maybe even the same people, but in a different sport it is not only allowed it is encouraged.
The rule is ridiculous and unfair. When did anyone last see any crowd trouble in the MKM when City are playing? I'm not counting a couple dozen young kids of each side pulling faces at each in the North Stand behind the stewards back either.
I'd like to see City make a stand and challenge this no alcohol in your seats rule. If it's allowed in rugby league, where there has actually been incidents of crowd trouble with bottles thrown etc, ( but oddly no arrests?) then there is a case of a relaxing the rule for football in the same stadium.
Maybe just introduce it in a designated part of the ground, for home fans, to see how it works?
If it is abused then fair enough stop it but it is totally unfair and a restriction on trade for the club to deny this facility for one set of supporters over another because of the shape of the ball in play and some deep seated myth that every football supporter is a a raving lunatic if allowed a beer in his/her seat, without any evidence to back it up.

Not saying it's a crime - just replying to a previous post about it happening. It does seem a bit of a draconian rule, but you can't expect the majority to go along with it and then let the minority off if they break the rules. Probably best to remove the restriction if no one is doing anything about it.

I think it was banned in 1985 (forget the specific Act now). the year I started going. So prior to that, could you get a beer anywhere in Boothferry Park and if so, then watch the game with it?

Still don't believe the keeper was injured. There was no one near him and he hadn't been involved in any physical clashes with anyone. He just sat down. I'd like to see refs start booking players who just sit down for no other reason than to time waste. At the very least the game should carry on if there is no head injury - we'd soon see plenty of players miraculously recover.

Me too. It's a joke. We have some real grubs in our fanbase.
Some tit swiped my pint of Guinness yesterday as I popped it down to check on my lad who had slipped on the concourse coming back from the toilet. Turned around and a full pint had gone. Absolute loser.

It will be banned in Rugby League soon too. The DCMS have been trying since covid to convince the RFL to stop it, in the end they will enforce it.

There is more and more trouble at games. As well as that it's bloody annoying when the same bell ends are constantly up and down during a game to go and get more ale. At Wembley a guy must have gone 3 times each half, stupid grin as he shuffles past apologising. Pointless going to the match, he could have watched it in the pub sat at the bar.

The rule to ban alcohol in view of the pitch is a law, not just something they can ignore in certain areas. It will never be lifted.

The strongest drink you could buy at BP was Bovril, until they opened the gym as a bar, and that was closed during the game.

Probably been said already but the minute silence was impeccably observed.

We’ll done to all concerned, and excellent club comms making it very clear

Probably Rugby League fans there on cheap tickets. Not aware of the rules. If that was the case would you still be against having them ejected and sent to Acuns naughty room? :emoticon-0102-bigsm
