To be honest I thought he was better than Chalbi. Both young, finding their feet in the big league. Both going to be decent assets for us methinks.
Can't argue with that. Hopefully Adingra can keep at least at that level from now. I think that both have a lot to offer in flashes
Arsenal were rattled like, thought Brobbey looked a handful even without his goal. We need the SOL like that every game
On the subject of wingers, I think Traore deserves some flowers, he grafts his absolute bollocks off every game.
To be fair, Micky Gray isn't the brightest bulb in the box, not quite as thick as Jason McAteer but the only reason I'd want him in my pub quiz team is to get the drinks in. On a serious note, if Ballard wasn't a Northern Ireland international the way he's playing now he'd definitely be in the reckoning to play for England. There's got to be a few clubs looking at him now thinking he'd be a top quality recruit.
Still absolutely buzzing from yesterday, what a performance all round with an obvious noted mention to one of the best centre half displays I've ever seen from Ballard. This team is a bit special from the quality to the complete togetherness of the players and staff, to the fans. Can see us attracting some more big name youthful signings in January if RLB believes they can help us out. RLB is manager of the season so far, don't care what the awards say. To come from overseas, get us out of the Championship and then competing at the top of the Premier League is simply incredible.
40m player if you're comparing him to Max Kilman. It would be an ideal transfer for the club considering the profit we would make.
One of the last I would consider selling, the lads improving game by game, he’s an absolute beast. He loves it here as well, no surprise he’s thriving alongside top quality players.
A couple of interesting things about the set up I noticed/ thought about. At times first half we set up with two up front. Traore wide Isidor centre and Le Fee back in the midfield. I was also thinking the three centre backs enabled us to stay tight at the back but keep Ballard forward for the second and third phases of a set piece. We scored both goals from that scenario. Ballard was incredible defensively but also got a goal and an assist which is unbelievable for a centre back.
brobbey WANTED a goal, he was not on the pitch waiting for something to fall to him he went looking and that just epitomises the whole squad. yes there were a couple of mistakes but anyone taking a proper look at our games will see the work rate of them all, players like le fee who can be a show stopper who sits tight now, protecting the defence or sadiki covering so much ground from 0 to 90+ or granit, the man with 'the name' who never makes the game about him yet controls things quietly and still sits at the top of 'distance covered' charts. i hope we stay 'horrible' to play against as it means we are still doing something right, no one can honestly say we are a horrible team but we won't make it easy for others to play. i am hoping alderete is back for the next game and replaces reinildo, not that he has done anything 'wrong' but his play acting and little digs are getting worse.
No one will look forward to playing us, home or away mate. Just ask Chelsea, Forest and Palace. As long as we are 'at it', we're a match for anyone. Averaging 2 points per game at home and 1.4 points per game away. In the words of Dylan: " The times they are a changin' ".
I'm not not saying I would sell, but the club would profit 38m if he was sold for 40m. Imagine the gems the scouting team could bring in with that.
Botman claimed he was the strongest player he’d ever played against. From someone who’s in the gym a lot, his legs are not only ****ing MASSIVE but also very defined I can only imagine how powerful he will be and he’s just under 5’11 I think so low centre of gravity compared to these beanpole CB’s - he will be immovable if he holds his ground. Brobbey the Bull
