I feel sorry for him. He’s a good manager, it was his childhood dream job but his squad just looks utterly meh. And I have strong phoning it in vibes from their star man Sargent.
I mean, they spent about £25m in the Summer on transfer fees alone, and then there's the wages of any of their longer serving players such as McLean, Sargent and Duffy. Their new players are apparently taking a long time to bed in, but they've also lost their new striker Mathias Kvistgaard for a long period of time, Jeff Schlupp is out until January, Jose Cordoba isn't fit till next month, Ben Chrisene is out for ages and there's a couple of others. Tough times for whoever takes over. I don't think they're gonna be down there come the end of the season, but unless they do a Fulham or a Huddersfield, they've wasted a season. They also don't have the luxury of parachute payments anymore.
