Depends entirely on fitness, our first 11 is good enough to beat anyone in the league and would fancy that outfit to challenge top 6 and certainly be top 10, two injuries though and things start to unravel. Two good signings made yesterday, positive about both of them and looking forward to Swansea. UTT.
Still stick with my original prediction, think we have enough in the building to survive comfortably but not enough depth to challenge at the top.
Last season I stated I would be happy for us to finish in the championship. We very nearly didn't. This season I'd be happy for us to finish in the championship. I think I went bottom half by the way. I'll stick with that and hope we do miles better.
I think the squad is capable of a decent season. There are teams who routinely finish mid table with less quality than we have now. But, I'm acutely aware that our team once again is completely new while others have built gradually over years which seems to be so important in the Championship. And all these goals conceded in recent weeks gives a worryingly familiar feeling that we might be a bit of a mess organisationally and it ends up being another new manager recovery job in the winter.
kinda agree…I’m feeling optimistic but scared. We have a team of big fellas, with the right fighting team spirit we can do ok. with another bad run of injuries, we are in a relegation fight again
Slightly more optimistic, 15th-20th! If we can get the players to keep fit & don’t have any injuries we might push the top half! I still think Acun sacks Sergej at some point though!
Top half, outside shot of play offs until about 4 games left, ultimately finish 11th about 6 off playoffs
I also had us finishing 15th with 56 pts before a ball was kicked. I'd go as far as to say I'd be happy to have a each way bet on that, to 2 places either side.
Based on the points received after 15, the prediction is we'll finish on 76pts. TBH.... The sooner we get 44 points, the better.
Growing belief within might well push us into playoffs. Russian roulette at the back. Just saying… Allam’s GONE.
I'd still take mid table and holding onto our team so we can use funds to build in the Summer if we need to. Oh, and the manager. Feck off, struggling PL clubs/Fener/Besiktas/Boro. Our biggest test will be January when we get offers for Hughes and Pandur. Or even the McGilsey combo (McB is at the age where foreign clubs start circling, they'll be thinking he might fancy the MLS or Saudi for some big money). Still can't believe the transformation in Giles, I know the phrase "like a new signing" is thrown about a lot with players stuck at clubs, but he genuinely is a completely different player under Serg.
