Jander was excellent today. I really like J-Rob, but you saw the difference today offensively between him and Leo (and this is much more a comment about how good Leo is, than anything negative re Jay).
Enjoyed that. Not the best, but as others have said, the perfect 2 wins without being convincing enough for SR to risk it.
2 very interesting games up after the international break. Charlton away and Leicester at home. Proper tests but will be going into them with our tails up. COYR
Great result & another not totally convincing performance. As others say, hopefully SR don’t do anything stupid now & get a proper manager in. Wouldn’t be against Tonda as assistant after these results though tbh, depends what new manager wants to do though! Just stuck the Sunderland v Arsenal warm up on too and agent o Neil on there so hopefully that means he wasn’t in attendance as some rumours suggest !
Yeah, the lad who messaged me was clearly on the wind up. I pass it on in good faith and trust (as he had a very good hit rate over the summer), and it's rather thankfully not true. Ah well
I would rather Tonda goes back to managing the U21’s, he’s doing a good job there. Doesn’t mean he has to lose all touch with the first team though.
These two games were all about improving player performances and getting points. Eckert has done that, which is great. It means the board have plenty of time to get the man they want in the dugout.
The curse is broken! We scored three goals! We won a game! Armstrong MotM, Fellows and Azaz much better. Funny how our attacking players look much better when we actually play attacking football. Would love to sign Amass. Great bloody player. 18 years old!
Tbf I’m glad we got that early second half goal. SW seemed to have the ball more under control than we did but fortunately for us couldn’t take advantage. Our midfield is, as described earlier, porous.
Genuine question and one we will never know the answer to but Do we think we would have won the last 2 games with Will Still, still in charge?
Can’t argue with 6 points in his two games in charge but SR please make the right choice this time and not the quick easy one. Though if he’s still in charge after the Leicester game and we’ve got another 4-6 points on the board he won’t be doing by himself a disservice at all.
Just got home. Although Scienza got the official MOTM (and was very good) mine was Fellows. Thought he was excellent playing in a position he maybe isn't natural in. Great assist as well.
