This seasons Championship race is probably the most unexpected and exiting it’s been for years. We have fatfwank and his Coventry topping the league and scoring goals. The richest English club owners standing by their principles and refusing to buy success. Yes Stoke look like they’re back and their best player Lewis Baker doing the biz. The funny thing however is that Marc Robins did a great job at Coventry and put them in the frame and now doing the same at Stoke City. Coventry top and Stoke 2nd. Boro, Millwall, Charlton and Preston top 6 with Hull and Bristol on the same points. The millionaire Hollywood clubs of Birmingham and Wrexham not quite there yet but outshining Ipswich, Leicester and a poor Southampton. Derby making a comeback too. But the blunts still struggling along with the Wendies and a points deduction. Norwich now in a relegation fight.

One of the best DMs in football is Portuguese international João Palhinha. Bruno Amorim had him back in Portugal and then the player fancied the EPL so went to Fulham for £20m and was brilliant for Marco Silva. Bayern Munich then spent £50m to take him to Germany yet after only 17 games decided he didn’t fit into their plans so loaned him out to Spurs and guess what he’s one of the best DMs in the EPL again. Why didn’t he fit into Bayerns system? Bayern are even willing to lose £20m on him as they agreed a £30m permanent deal if Spurs fancy it at the end of the season.

Oh and what is it about Brazilian and Portuguese players and their names……. João Maria Lobo Alves Palhares Costa Palhinha Gonçalves

Still on the Portuguese front Wolves back in 2016 were bought by Chinese company Fosun. Nuno Espírito Santo manager but one of the worlds top football agents Jorge Mendes (Jorge Paulo Agostinho Mendes) was brought in and he brought in 12 new players. He was then made a director of Wolves too and they brought in plenty of top talent mostly Portuguese and they walked the league to gain promotion. The EFL in early 2018 investigated Wolves and the Mendes links but Wolves stated Mendes had no official links to the club so no charges to answer. Fosun got themselves into financial difficulty and once Nuno left the club Wolves started selling their talent and now find themselves in dire straits. Even the average Gary O’Neill has knocked them back so may end up with Ten Haag or even Robbie Keane and believe it or not Big Sam mentioned. Rob Edwards did a great job at Luton and now doing the same at Boro and looks like he is going to Wolves, Why?Mendes is among the most influential football agents in the world, with clients including Cristiano Ronaldo, David de Gea, José Mourinho, Rúben Dias, James Rodríguez, João Félix and Lamine Yamal. Outside of football, he represents clients such as triple jump champion Patricia Mamona, surfer Frederico Morais, tennis player João Sousa and the cyclist João Almeida. Mendes is often referred to as a "super-agent"

Oh how Leeds could do with a Mendes. Remember the deals he did for Wolves by bringing in some worldies and top prem quality to a championship club. All about the way he structured those deals

The answer to the burning question... The Latino community take their surname from both their parents. I worked with a Columbian lad his name was Luis(first) Eduardo(middle) , Gonzalez (Father) Regulon(Mother)

Controversial on here but I prefer Northern Ireland to the southern lot. Belfast is a great little city.

Edinburgh is nice. Once went on holiday to Fort William. Took the train up there and spent a couple of days with a friends of my parents who line in Glasgow. Walking round Glasgow city centre and my dad got accosted by a drunken local. Never forget the experience.

I see Rob Edwards not allowed to take training at Boro yesterday and not allowed anywhere near the team today. Cant be long before Wolves announce him unless Boro have put him on gardening leave. 14:10 on Saturday this post so could already have been announced?

Edwards family still live in Birmingham so he’s been living in hotels so can understand him wanting the Wolves gig and he did play for them for a long time too so has an affinity with them but also feel for Boro and their fans

Just to cheer grumpy Eire up Hull have won again and Joffy got the winner and an assist today so he’s now scored 7 and today he was right wing, last week left wing and started at 10 a few times too but only once as a 9.
