Glad we're still managing to avoid the Friday/Mondsy nights. To get to March without any is good going. That Stoke ko time is a bit grim though.
Why on earth has it taken so long to ban this prick? Milutin Osmajic: Preston forward given nine-game ban for racial abuse - BBC Sport
Boss Rob Edwards has been stood down from Middlesbrough's game against Birmingham on Saturday amid Wolves' interest in appointing him as their new manager. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c1d09zwl153o
Don’t really understand the view that Edwards would be an idiot to leave. Sure Wolves are going down but it’s not like Boro are 10 points clear in the auto spots so they are a sure thing to go up. Probably has more chance of getting back to the PL with Wolves in a years time than getting Boro promoted this year. Has a long connection with Wolves as well as a coach/manager/player
Cifuentes should have bought himself some time with that win as well. Manning though surely is getting the sack. Us, Norwich and Boro looking for a manager at the same time, presumably all looking in roughly the same market
Martin is definitely going to end up at Norwich isn't he? Great response from Coventry to their first defeat. Doesn't get much better than a 1-0 win away to the 2nd placed team. Be extremely surprised if they didn't get a top two spot now. Interesting seeing the 4 sides who currently occupy the play off spots, lost to 3 of them but you'd expect most of them to struggle with squad depth as the season goes on.
Yeah I can’t see any of the current play off sides being there come the end of the season, long way to go.
Wouldn't surprise me if one of them did tbh but not all of them, the only one I'd fully write off is Hull: Millwall were my dark horses before the season Preston are competing very well despite already having loads of players out suggesting they have better squad depth than you'd think. Stoke have been the best of them so far and have a very accomplished manager.
A quick look over on their board and, unsurprisingly, the same names we have talked about have already been mentioned. O’Neil, Martin and Carrick. Martin does seem likely but I do wonder just how much his rep has been impacted by us last season and his time at Rangers. He is basically a laughing stock atm and might not be someone boards feel comfortable about appointing especially given the situation Norwich find themselves
