Sometimes he's not awful, but a lot of the time he's punching down, and his humour is often just being him a knob. I see lately he's been bitching about not being allowed to put controversial stuff on his ads, in a "they're trying to cancel me" kind of way. He does have a very punchable face though.
He's deliberately creating adds he knows will be banned, he gets more exposure from the banned adds being shared than he'd have got from the adds themselves and it costs him barely anything.
Why because he does something you dislike Ernie ? Another poster wanting to punch him ! Any chance we can move on from cancel culture ?
Never said I wanted to punch him, but if I were looking for a face to punch, and his grinning mush was in the line-up, he'd be the odds-on favourite. And no, cancel culture is absolutely fine. If someone does something ****, I see no issue with them being de-platformed, but Gervais isn't there, despite what he claims.
Indeed, very clever comedian who isn't afraid to call out bullshit whatever it may be and from whoever.
