    Portsmouth - Liam Lawrence returns, Varney is a doubt.

    Southampton - Davis a doubt, as is Barnard. Connolly and Chaplow will both miss out with injury.

    I don't wish to sound too negative, but a combination of bad away form and Pompey's decent home record means they might scrape it.

    Me too, I went to predict the line-ups but it's so open to change based on how the two managers approach these sort of games.

    Oh right,good if it's true! just read the preview on the OS and it says it will come to early for Chappers but maybe they're playing mind games.It says Connolly has returned to training as well so that's good news.Want Davis to be fit more than anything though!

    Enough of this negative nonsense we're all spouting just to cover ourselves. We are top of the league and still winning games. We have not vastly deteriorated, we are still winning games and have even won some away games. Now is the time to push on and still be top in April. 2.1 or 3.1 to Saints.

    So according to the OS then, Chaplow appears to be a no, but Connolly appears to be a yes.

    In that case, scrap both of my ideas above, and go back to how we started the season - assuming Adkins thinks that Connolly we be able to last 60+ minutes.

    But as I've said on another thread, he can't literally mean everyone - otherwise that would include Jaidi and Seaborne as well. So I don't know if he's including Chaplow or not - I'm thinking he's not.

    In Player interview, Chaplow, Connolly and Forte can be seen training...good news. No sign of Fonte or Davis..but as Saint Lambden said could just be mind games. Nice touch when Nigel says,' Portsmouth are good at home, not as good as us mind you, but fair play to them.'

    Nigel has said that everyone is fit,i know it can be construed as mind games but i have never known Nigel to use that as a mind game.From what i saw in the SP footage i wouldn't be surprised if Chappers was at least on the bench and Connolly back.Nigel seemed to be buzzing and in real good spirits in that interview,got me going in all haha.
