Who Could Be the Next Manager

Yeah, it tells me that they have owners almost as **** as ours

 

Didn’t someone say O’Neil turned it down because of the fan backlash, ie the fans really didn’t want him back.

Maybe it was Tom best ignored

 

We know what to do tomorrow then

 

Our owners keep finding a way to get worse. The job is hard enough as it is but being a Pompey fan will make things 10x harder. Clueless owners.

 

Maybe everyone should give him a chance before making a judgement should he be appointed.

 

Yeah but the “chance” will be like 3 games. Will be similar to Jones if he is appointed.

 

That's exactly my point. He won't get a chance because he is pompey. In terms of purely his managerial ability and experience I don't mind it, but a lot of fans will be looking for a reason to hate him from the start.

 

Except there is zero chance 'everyone' will do that, so you have to take it into account.

 

He's already dividing us on here, he's got no chance with the whole fanbase.

His odds just shortened again, so it's clearly just people going off media reports, rather than anyone "knowing" anything (which is slightly reassuring).

 

Only time manager odds really mean anything is when they stop taking bets on someone. If he’s been offered/accepted the job then people will know and be piling on. The fact you can still get on him means he won’t have been, yet anyway.

Spors has had his honeymoon period and been given the benefit of the doubt but if he appoints O'Neil, it's over for me.
