I watched some of his press conference and I did get the impression he's still playing his cards close to his chest about who will be in the final squad. I think some not selected this time are still in the frame, form and injury depending. Personally I'd have recalled Wellbeck and he might still be in the frame going forward. But the talent in that U21 squad is brilliant and I wouldn't be surprised if someone if those come into consideration.
Short on left backs there mind. On this, does Tyrick Mitchel eat cuddly bunny rabbits in public or something? He's a belting left back, never injured and playing in a good team. Not perfect, (who is?), but left back is a tough job and a good one is rare. Do I over rate this lad?
Nick Pope 33 y/o now. Trafford hasn’t been playing but he’d be better off in and around the squad for future reference imo. Pickford is clearly number 1, Pope is never getting in.
Trafford and Ramsdale are both suffering from not playing regularly. If City hadn't signed Donnarumma he'd be first choice and likely in the England squad and much as I dislike him he'd be pushing Pickford, based on last season. He's still young enough to force his way back in though. The Ramsdale transfer makes less and less sense unless it was a financial decision. His career has totally stalled going there. If he'd not he'd be a contender for the squad as possible 4th choice.
Good shout, always looked decent to me and has been capped before, I wonder why no one is shouting about him for England now. In truth we are a bit short at left back, though there are some breaking through now. The problem being that they're young and maybe a bit inconsistent due to age right now. I know it was a concern before the last Euros, which is why Trippier was in the squad as he could cover both flanks.
He’s not going to play so why not have a younger keeper involved in the camps Trafford would be a much better option than him in any squad
