The confidence in this team is absolutely through the floor, they’re scared to make a pass, make a tackle, step forward and let one take a shot on

Tonight's matches aren't finished, but pre-season if you'd gone to the bookies putting money on 3 of the bottom 4 being Soton, Blades & Canaries (after 30% of the season), I'd suspect you'd have got good odds.

Soton just scored, think I pre-empted that <doh>:emoticon-0127-lipss I'll give up now!

Vlad voted 19th worst in current Championship list.
Think that's a bit harsh, what do you think?

No, apologies if I interpreted it wrong.
He is No 19 out of 24, Higher the number, worst they are.

I think 19th is probably a reflection of our league position rather than his quality necessarily.

He's conceded the 3rd most goals in the league, but FBref have him 8th in the division for Goals saved above Expected, at +1.5ish. His save percentage is a touch low, but that probably speaks of a team who give up a low number of shots - but those we do give up are better chances.

He's definitely got a mistake in him, particularly with the ball at his feet, but he's also made some key saves that have won us points.

Considering Gunn and Long were both bottom 5 for Goals saved above expected (around -4 for last season), he's on course to save us around 8 goals across the season compared to keeping Gunn/Long.

Just to reassure everyone before tomorrow's game, Leicester's Polish keeper Jakub Stolarczyk is the top Championship keeper measured by goals saved above expected. Vlad is not the problem, it's the lack of shot-takers with the wit to out-fox the likes of Stolarczyk.
