Huge numbers of extra police drafted in for a game with no away fans. Passionate Villa fanatics are getting ready early.
It would be the biggest wum ever if Israel makes peace with every single Muslim country and Palestine still doesn't get independence. That's HIAG levels of trolling.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c8dr5e30m5ro Now that Gaza has calmed down a bit, the BBC can turn their attention elsewhere. They operate on such a tight budget (£5.4 billion) and with such a small team of staff (21,000), so it's totally understandable that just haven't had the time or headspace to cover the crisis in Sudan with any real level of engagement. Kudos also to the many hundreds of thousands who will be marching through the streets of London to protest that fact that British-made weapons are sold to the UAE, who then sell them on to the RSF, who then butcher thousands in Sudan.
It's absolutely crazy what's happening out there. The killing is off the scale. I know your comment is sarcastic, but people have marched before, both to stop unnecessary wars in the middle east and to stop the arms trade in which we are one of the biggest players. The trouble is, that it just gets ignored and politicians cite UK jobs and investment when it comes to the multi billion £ arms industry . When people take things into their own hands as a result, and either damage or trespass in areas which contain weapons and military equipment that is used to support barbaric regimes, they are labelled as terrorists.
People have marched for Sudan? Must have missed that one. Or did they march through St Agnes? Definitely didn't see them in London.
You know what I'm talking about. Marches to end wars in the middle east and marches to end arms sales to barbaric regimes are nothing new I don't think there's been a march to end the war in Sudan because there's not a lot that the UK can do about a civil war, but we have certainly marched to end arms sales to the UAE and the Saudis.
I’d like to take this opportunity to say how unbelievably little I care about Sudan. It’s bad, clearly, but I don’t care. Nigeria is also bad and probably loads of places but I don’t care about them either and would rather none of our money goes into the black hole that is trying to save them. Arms manufacturing is one of the few things this country remains quite good at. We’re all here for 80 years if we’re lucky. Try and enjoy it. Anyway, back to my PowerPoint.
Whilst I'm always happy to ridicule Spurs players - seems a bit harsh to single out one individual for organising protests on this scale ...
Nobody on here really does. And the only reason it's been brought up before was to provide some whataboutery to try and distract from what Israel was doing in Gaza. And that's exactly the context in which @Citizen Kane. has brought it up again today. How's the presentation going ?
