The guy frightens me to death. When QPR were peppering our box late on with crosses and corners, I don't think he came out for one.
Where is Niemi or Shilton when we need them?

That’s completely unfair. He came for lots of crosses. He made a couple of important saves too.

Don’t get me wrong, I have no faith in either him or McCarthy, but at least stick to factual criticism.

He's gotta get on the bench for this surely? I know he said himself that he probably wouldn't be match fit until after the international break, buutttt he's fit enough to come on for the last 20 minutes right?

Unlikely to feature. If, big if, he's fit enough to come on fine. He'll get a huge reception from the crowd whatever.
"SAINTS midfielder Oriol Romeu said he is targeting the match after the upcoming international break to make his second debut for the club."
Romeu said: "I feel pretty good to be honest but I haven't had football or game time for a few months and that needs to be worked on."

I’d put him on the bench whatever, get him warming up a few times, and bring him on in added time, if we’re winning
The crowd reaction would be worth it

That's the way to do it. Losing not an option.

That's what I'm hoping will happen. I'm letting my Dad have my season ticket for this game, so I've gone and bought another ticket for me in the hope of finally seeing a win and because I want to be there for Romeus re-debut

He'll come on when we're 2-0 down amid instructions from the higher ups to try and quell the "SR OUT" chants <laugh><laugh>

I don’t think he’s as bad as others do tbh. He should’ve bodied the QPR striker for their goal, but aside from that he did fine & made important saves. Personally, I’ve seen McCarthy flap at more crosses and have worse distribution than most make out about Baz in our games this season.

They both aren’t good enough though! Wish we’d gone in for the keeper Rotherham had few seasons ago when we drew at home against them, can’t remember his name off the top of my head

Viktor Johansson I believe, I did mention at the time he was available for a reported £1m fee, but some on here said he wasn’t good enough for us…..only a shot stopper.

Yeah, he seemed an obvious low risk choice, but our board of course thought thy knew better. He is now at Stoke fighting for promotion.

Bring him on after 70mins if we are losing, then we'll win
I'm sure he can manage 20mins, even if he just stands around and growls at people

He may have to score himself of course, no other bugger except Leo is likely to ... if Leo's playing and not injured that is
