Well I have quoted facts from the ONS. Easily verifiable.
It has clearly not" massively" damaged the economy. It hasn't made much difference actually, though of course the much mentioned £150bn which is meant to be invested here in the years ahead from US tech companies could not have happened while in the EU.

Not opinion, it's just a fact.

The last government, and this one are not interested in cutting immigration if any kind. The evidence is overwhelming on that . No possible difference can be made while still tied to ancient treaties, written in another century.

Here's another one costing tax payers billions.
A friends son never worked a day in his life mid thirties gets the nod to get a vehicle using the mobility allowance puts five grand down cash and gets a top end 4x4.
And the DWP doesn't look into it.
He is not a raspberry ripple he has been diagnosed with a mental health problem
They'll bring in pay per mile for every vehicle in the end.
They'll start it at 3p per mile and every year it will go up with inflation.
You will have nothing and be happy.

So your friends son is milking the system? What other stories has he corrupted your mind with? I would be wary of this person as a friend. Did this milking happen in the last year and four months under the Labour government? How are you managing to blame Starmer here?

I think whatever this government do there are people on here who are always going to complain.

Is this government perfect? Far from but given the catastrophic last Tory government and the Farage alternative they are the best option by a distance.

I have an EV and petrol cars and happy with both. We use each one accordingly. For the environment and climate and as technology improves it just makes sense to move to electrical.

Apart from nationalism, you have described the central tenets of communism. You need to go outside of the internet.

As you might know, Mussolini was so devout a follower of Communism that he was praised publicly by Lenin in Pravda and called " the future of the movement". Mussolini was also arrested and deported twice from Switzerland for activity in the name of revolutionary Socialism. He only left the Socialist party in Italy when they insisted that cause came before country.

He was lauded to the heavens almost everywhere until 1935, especially by the left in the US and here as the man " who made Socialism work". He never once recanted his beliefs, and his second in command sang the praises of Socialism as he was executed.

Fascism was a very time specific thing, demonstrably borne of left wing politics, though this is not generally taught.

Now the cry " Fascist!" is used to attack anyone , usually someone they do not like or do not understand.

I’m knowledgeable on allotments and for our Felltop expert…..allotments are managed by parish and town councils not central government and therefore has little to do with central government. Why let pig ignorance get in the way at another pop at the Labour government though? :)

Well it would be fairer if they charged ev drivers X amount for tax and take the same amount off petrol and Diesel drivers, now that would be fair.
But fair in Labours eyes is taxing EV drivers and keeping it all.
Which do you think is fair?

You post on a Starmer thread about a failure of the DWP, I'm struggling to follow your comments.

Seriously mate. The system has been getting milked for decades. I know a few people myself, in their fifties who have virtually never worked.

They do not do badly either in some cases. Two of the few I know have mobility cars, though there is no disability to be seen. And a foreign holiday is by no means beyond them.

Why work? Why push yourself? Why get extra education and qualifications, at night, after work? Why work long hours, or take on big responsibility, or work away, or abroad?

I've done all those things and I'm better off for it. But you can often have a reasonable life without bothering.

Until someone says that in public, it will continue to get worse

Lucy Powell now saying Labour should stick to their manifesto and not break promises.

This is why she was the correct choice for Deputy Leader but a nightmare for Starmer, she's not afraid to challenge on important issues. A party needs someone like that.
