Manning on where we go from here: "If you look at the six games that we've lost, at the actual performances, we've probably played a lot better than we did (at Sheffield Wednesday), and created much better opportunities and restricted the opposition to very few chances. But in those games we've not responded well to levels of adversity, which we did in this game. It's just trying to chase bringing it all together. We want to be dominant, play with purpose, keep teams pinned back and ask questions by getting at people. I saw more people taking people on than for a while, in terms of one versus ones in attacking areas, and that is what I want to see. Even in a tough time it's easy to pass on responsibility by going square or back. And that's what we don't need. Where we are at the minute we need that intent, that desire to be the one who steps up and does it.” An important part of that second half response was Kvistgaarden coming on for Schwartau at the half. Suddenly we carried a new threat up front. At first this was negated by offsides, but then McLean ignored the easy options and found space to play the long through ball to Sargent who then laid it off to Kvistgaarden for the goal. With Makama, Forson and Jurásek now available as well, we have the potential threats up front, but we need to focus on quick progression to make those threats count.

Knapper and Manning between them have killed any joy in either playing for Norwich, or supporting Norwich. For heaven's sake, let's be rid of the pair of them.
It's going to happen, so why the hell are we dithering like this? Having no manager for Leicester wouldn't be any worse than having Manning. And having no SD for the next couple of months won't make any difference - the current one is hiding anyway and is nowhere to be seen. So do something like give McLean a player-manager role for a while and just do it. And at the same time find a SD who knows what he's doing.
