    Match Preview;
    Wanted to get this thread up early to forget about football for 48 hours. Last night was a frustrating watch, as we lost 1-2 to Southampton. That loss made it three losses in a row, and four losses in our last six. We now sit 16th, on 18 points, solidly mid-table. The most frustrating part of last night, for me, was seeing how we played once we were 0-2 down. If we played with that intensity and urgency in the first half, we may well have been comfortably ahead, and able to take our foot off the gas a little, and make changes to give some players a rest. Instead, we didn't take our chances, and only really went for the jugular when losing. With Kone, Frey, Burrell, Dembele, Smyth, Saito and Poku we have the attacking players to go at teams, so why on earth do we sit back? Infuriating stuff.

    As for our hosts...it hasn't been fun for them so far this season. They've won 3 and lost 11 and sit second from bottom, on 9 points...so already 4 points from safety. After relegation in 2024, and losing in the playoffs last year, their fans must be even more frustrated than we are to see them lurking at the bottom of the table after 14 games. Their top scorer is Callum O'Hare with 4 goals, and worryingly for them they have only scored 11 all season...making them the second lowest goalscorers in the division. Their consolation can be found in the fact the only club below them is their Steel City rivals, Sheffield Wednesday, who started the season with a 12 point deduction and now sit on -4 points.

    Team news and manager comments to go up when on the official, enjoy and hats off if you are making the trip, and as always...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!

    I ought to just add Martin Cranie automatically.

    One day I will reach the tipping point where you are out of names to add...by then the match day thread will take three pages, and consist of endless names of players from the 1930's who had a loan spell with both clubs and played an average of 35 minutes for each club. :emoticon-0101-sadsm
