Renowned actor Tchéky Karyo, who starred in the BBC hit drama The Missing and James Bond's GoldenEye, has died aged 72. Karyo, who was born in Istanbul but grew up in Paris, starred in films for nearly four decades, before turning to TV in his final years. His wife, actress Valérie Keruzoré, and their children announced he had 'succumbed to cancer this Friday, October 31'. Karyo starred as Dmitri Mishkin in GoldenEye (1995), but many Brits will recall his memorable role as detective Julien Baptiste in The Missing. The series, which was praised at the time as 'hauntingly brilliantly television', followed the hunt for a five-year-old British boy who vanished during a family holiday in France. He starred alongside James Nesbitt, Keeley Hawes and David Morrissey in two series between 2014 and 2016 before the success of the show led to his own spin-off, Baptiste, in 2019. At the time, the beloved actor said about his reprisal: 'I didn't expect it, but it's flattering. This has made me feel young again.' Discussing the joy of playing Baptiste he told Hello in 2021: 'It’s fantastic…. it’s a fantastic adventure this, The Missing and Baptiste.'

The actor, whose credits included Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore, Chinatown and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, died at her home in Ojai, California. Dallas Cowboys defensive end Marshawn Kneeland has passed away suddenly at the age of 24, the team announced on Thursday morning. Kneeland was in the midst of just his second season in the NFL when he died overnight. His 'shattered' agent, Jonathan Perzley, confirmed the 'tremendous loss' in an emotional statement. No cause of death was given. 'It is with extreme sadness that the Dallas Cowboys share that Marshawn Kneeland tragically passed away this morning,' a statement from the team read.
