I think Elanga thinks he's good. That might be the main problem.
He's been gash but my faith tells me that he might improve after some impact sub appearances 2nd half of the season.

I remember when we had unfaultable players like Amdy Faye and Emmanuel Riviera, so I totally get the criticism these days.

He knows he's not good enough at this point.. Hopefully Santo wants him at West ham or we're stuck with him for years

Lewis Hall looked pretty good when he came on.
Looking forward to having Livi back soon as well

    • 6th top in the Champions League
    • Above Chelsea, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Liverpool.
    • Dan Burn outscoring the rat.

At the time I thought Burn was trying to head that back across goal. Burn had a good game, but I don't think Newcastle played any better than vs West Ham.

    Good result.

I don't think it was a good performance at all, but 3 points is 3 points. We were very sloppy with the ball, gave it away cheaply far too many times, even reliable players seemed to have trouble controlling the ball, glad Gordon went off because my frustration was building with him.

Feel sorry for Woltemade, looks so isolated up there by himself. One thing we need from Joe's replacement is a player that can shoot from 18-25yds out (other than Schar).

He’s doing what he did at Man U, letting the pressure get to him, which impacts performance, which increases pressure. Mentally he’s not good enough. And as a counter attacker he’s not what we needed.

Bruno said “it was like playing with 10kgs on my back” in reference to playing through illness. Not sure I fully understand why he was playing at all?

This format is 10 times better than the old one. We've already had big teams playing each other and tons of goals. Much better than only getting in the last 8.

Hate it... The games used to have more on them. It's just the latest way to remove any fear of the ****house clubs in all countries not making the last rounds.

Agreed. While the one-league format increases the number of fixtures it throws up good matches each week. By week 4 in the old system quite a few of the games would be a waste of time.

Last year Man City, Juve, PSG, AC, Bayern, Real & Dortmund all had to play a knock out match to make it into the last 16. I think there's a good chance of an upset, not many would fancy a 2 leg match against Galatasaray, it would be hilarious to see them knock out a "elite" team.

Exactly they don't have to do well to get to the business end. I'm pleased you like it and there's a few who do, but I juts don't feel the intensity at all. It's probably going to be intense for one or 2 games eventually at best.
