I'll miss this thread. I enjoyed the cut and thrust of healthy political discourse. I suppose I'll make a return to the Guardian.
I don’t like polls but I want to know what posters want to do. It’s seems that political threads tend to cause arguments and division and I want to get away from that and concentrate on Charlton. But it is your forum. I can’t do anything at the moment as I am still waiting to be ordained.
I think some of the non football threads are ok - they pass the time of day during international breaks etc - just need to behave ourselves and respect others - we’ve been ok until recently
I'll not take Watacock to court as long as the bad news and political threads remain open. It's all so
racist noun A person who believes a particular race is superior to others. A person with a prejudiced belief that one race is superior to others. adjective Of, relating to, or advocating racism.
Years ago I had a tenant, he liked cricket. Anyway, at the end of his lease he argued about everything regarding the repairs needed to be done to the property. He even argued that he did not have a tap in the bathroom. Anyway, I was certain that I was not going to lose when the deposit that was held back went to a TDA as it was known back then. The infantry entry and exit photos were taken so the geezer was bang to rights. The result came back and surprise surprise he lost 75% of his deposit. I have had too many instances like this to not be wrong in saying that people like this would sell their mother for a pound note, and they lie through their teeth into the bargain. Other than that....................
Probably my very last post on this thread, and it’s non political. I have a friend who’s an old City ducker & diver, and who bought a flat in Dulwich as an investment to let out. He has a very simple maxim with his tenants, which he tells every one on Day 1. If you are one day late with your rent, don’t bother texting me or coming up with an excuse, I will come straight round, break the door down, and put all of your property on the pavement. He’s a big unit even at 62, and he has never once had rent arrears issues.
