Apart from the header burn has been dire. Same players who were awful against west ham, rewarded with starts tonight, and playing even worse.

Howe is a concern for me. Poor management, bizarre “tactics”, no idea what the plan is.

 

Gordon needs to be dropped indefinitely, any chance the bindippers still want him?

Desperately want us to win. To build we have to keep the momentum in Europe. But it doesn’t mean I have the faintest clue or agree with what Howe is doing.

Apart from one set piece we’ve been poor. Individually and collectively. Barnes, Gordon, Burn, Trippier, Joelinton have been anonymous or wasteful. Tonali, Thiaw, Botman standing out and again pour scorn on a PL-focused transfer policy.

We're playing and passing poorly. But Athletic have had just the one shot that had beaten Pope.
We do have reasons to be concerned as we cant get going.
Barnes on the left and Murphy on the right will be better in the second half.

 

All they are doing is high line to make it congested in midfield where they are pressing hard.
So we continue to try and play it through midfield. Utter ****in madness.
Stretch the play ffs, creates space everywhere.
Surely we must have known this is how they play?
I can't imagine they've just decided to play this way tonight.
