I don’t particularly mind the players having a voice though. If the manager is a twat, they need to speak up. Doesn’t necessarily make them evil.
Yeah, Stephens seems to get a fair bit of stick for it (based on little evidence) but isn't that kind of the role of the captain? To be that link between the feeling of the dressing room and the higher ups. If it was Romeu or Jwp doing that, would probably be a different story, to be honest.
Rangers fan, Jeff, was winding me up at WF, about RM. Told me he was coming back, as FACT. When I offered a few choice words on the subject he then said only a rumour. More of a threat. SR telling fans, Accept our next choice or we use the nuclear option of RM.
The new temp manager pandering to the rebellious players to try and get some sort of performance after weeks of not trying
Stephens is the club captain, so him having a voice to speak to the chairman is good. If the majority of players felt that way about Still, then fair enough, but if it was just the favourite players of Martin kicking up a fuss....I'd be a little concerned.
My plan was to simply say: "Are we getting 100% effort today lads? Adam grassed you all up you bunch of ****houses" But sadly seems like was only coaching staff getting off once I caught up. Seems late to turn up though?
Same formation as Still by the look of it, so it'll be interesting to see how different the performance is. Got to be honest and say I am fully expecting more of the same **** but you never know
Yep, someone did. Didn’t get a great look at them but was a shortish chap, ginger hair, fairly dull monotonous voice
Today the team and tactics are secondary to attitude. I want us to win, but finding it very hard to get even remotely enthused until the new person comes in. I get the whole ‘captain should have a voice with the board’ part, but that doesn’t remotely mean ge shouldn’t still be involved in pushing his teammates to perform to their best, regardless of their feelings to the manager. (Particularly if that happens to more than just one manager…)
Beat me to it. I was going to ask similar a day or so ago but I’m 100% sure it was him. What a **** show we are.
