Tonight's result was on the cards after the dimal display at Stoke on the weekend but I never knew how diabolical it was destined to be despite our obvious downturn in the last couple of games. The problem as I see it is the unresolved problems based on last year's situation didn't appear to reach the back halls of Ashton Gate because just look at what spent and how little, if any, it has changed and when we have to rely on Mayulu, Armstrong, Hirakawa to come from the bench and set us on fire when there already one or two who desrve to be subbed sooner rather than later. Borges, Roberts and Tanner had howlers buut in fairness there are some others who need to look in the mirror tomorrow and ask themselves the brutal question. All around I think we showed how rapidly we can go from a team that was a difficult task to beat into a team that has been sussed out which causes us to run about like headless chickens and sorrily it did remind me of a kiddy cartoon at times. Beep-beep. :emoticon-0136-giggl:headbang:

Not sure why Struber brought off Riis when Armstrong came on..

Too many of our guys went missing in action and they should collectively hang their heads in shame. I thought maybe Gerhard would ring some big changes in personnel and set-up but he decided to go ahead, with the injuries building up by each pasing match, and subbing Armstrong for Riis was wierd and it showed in the touchline brush by hit and glare said everything about where we are in the dressing room - Ouch.

Unfortunately I can’t see anything other than a third straight defeat at Watford on Friday
We’ve ridden our luck previously but I think it’s taken a turn for the worse until we get some players and belief back

I was actually surprised that Sinclair was not in the starting line up ... and wuuuuuuhuuuyu is always a later sub! he has some skills not given the chance to show them!

Mayulu doesn’t fit into our pressing system, he knows where the goal is, or did when we first bought him, but doesn’t press enough unfortunately

I wonder if it’s worth taking a “hit” on this game. Rest some key players and put out fringe players instead. Can we even do that? Do we even have fringe players atm?

To put the proverbial boot in after that display will never make me a fan of Mehmeti and his comments won't exactly help the mood in the dresasing room. Mayulu, Armstrong and several others need to be moved on along with any others that aren't pulling their weight. In the middle of most seasons during the last 10 years we have pointed out weaknesses that need urgent attention and the powers that be deciided we were O.K. just where we are and no action is the usual result.
