I understand the last two home performances left something to be desired - albeit the results were not too bad.
Are supporters who watched those games worried that Charlton might be drifting towards a thumping?

And if it does come one day soon, will there be a reaction (a bounce-back) immediately?

I said to various people last night, I am no longer concerned about us going down. We would need to do a Devon Loch from here.

I am confident because I think NJ is a good defensive organiser, who will have us nicking draws & keeping the points board ticking over even when we do hit a bad spell, and the investors being likely to step in and spend in January if NJ asks them to.

Not a thumping, I think we are too organised defensively for that. But, some more clinical teams may punish us more than we have been so far.

We will stay up of that I have no doubt. I do worry though about picking up injuries to key players like Carey and Jones. If both pick up injuries say in the next game, we are in **** street. I agree with Royston I think the owners will put their hands in their pockets.
Just something I should have mentioned last Saturday. The Valley looks a picture with new lighting boards and the exits in the West Stand. The hand rails have been a great help in the East Stand for older people. I think the owners deserve a great amount of credit. They have delivered a competitive team and the infrastructure is being improved.

The best owners we have had since Roger Alwen / Mike Norris …or maybe Murray / Martin Simons, before Murray lost the plot.

    You cannot fault them really.

    Low key.
    Understated but interested.
    Non interfering.
    Seem like pleasant people.
Quickly exited the grifters (Methven, Scott).
Have put their money with they mouthes are.
