Someone at Sheffield Wednesday should print this off and pin it to every wall at Hillsborough. With the right leadership, ambition and planning anything can be achieved..we are living proof of that.
After years of what we’ve had, it’s, imo, the best time to be a SAFC fan in my lifetime! ('75 I was born)
Its why I take my time post match after the calm rolls in, to just think. I may think something, it doesnt matter if its backed up by 1 person or a thousand people, it doesnt mean I am right.
Just to clarify what I think would've been better for us creatively, is to have two wingers on the pitch. Traore and N'Diaye showed how important it is to have good dribblers on the pitch. In tight games, they provide flashes that can win a game. I felt we only really had Traore capable of it where as they had both Grealish and N'Diaye. Its what I was worried about pre match, their individual's natural flair.
Our youngest was born in '75, a month today will be our 55th year of wedded bliss...now that is old...and I feel it today full of cold the pair of us, hoping it's not covid.
It is nice to see commentators give the team, management, players, fans all the credit in the world. Listening to that fan on Talk Sport underlines what most if not all Sunderland fans feel. We are enjoying the moment, we don't expect a top 10 finish ( most don't even expect a mid table position) but we will see where this ride will take us. These are great days to follow the lads
Yep. Top 17 will do me! Can't really fly under the radar at the moment, which is how I prefer it. Mind, God only knows what it would be like if we get a result,( or even a goal!) on Saturday. What none of the talking heads says though - because they don't know -is that the club has underwent a seismic upheaval at all levels, plus large, physical Infrastructure improvements at the same time as the team has moved up the divisions. They can't be blamed for not knowing, or not assuming this. It hasn't happened before.
It’s great to be able to say in November that we’re probably safe from relegation. I think we’ll finish about 10th. We can compete in this league. I don’t know how many millions that will give us, but we’re in a great position to strengthen the squad with even greater quality. My only worry is that we start losing some of the backroom staff who have pulled the current crop of players and the manager out of a magic hat.
