Woeful for the most part, but who bloody cares! I said to my son, 'We are going to win this in injury time.' On the ninth cloud now. Fullah showed some nice glimpses. He is one to watch. Football is the best.
Saturdays game and tonight are much more what I expected this season. Sides who are better footballing sides than us, out battled, out fought and out worked by a well organised team. Carey walking away with player of the season at the moment, he's added some class going forward. Thought Fullah looked lively when he came on and Hernandez did a solid and disciplined job at left wing back. 95th minute winners, not great for the heart, but good for the soul
I totally agree with all that you have posted. I was guilty of going ape **** when we scored. I hugged a man I have never met before.
Just got home. what a night. What a finish. This team has obvious limitations, but you cannot fault its character & bottle. The only thing that could derail us now is injuries. Brilliant scenes at the end , as my lithe 41 year old figure gravitated towards the pitch to celebrate (Lower was only £20 tonight ) Other things I learned tonight - Fullah is already better than Leaburn Leaburn belongs at a Donkey sanctuary West Brom fans on the train back were not happy I couldn’t console them The Reds are so back
Our squad is going to be tested now. We have 5 first team players out injured (25% of our squad), and others including Bree carrying knocks. We are probably only 1-2 more away from serious problems - an injury to Lloyd Jones would obviously be a disaster at this point.
