One thing just dawned on me: Palhinha and Bentancur playing deep is tactically sound if we want a screen for Romero sending through balls all the way from the back

...and not tactically sound if Romero is out through injury, as we need the midfield to take up the slack and replace those passes themselves

 

Yeah Copenhagen are giving us a lot of time and I think that’s helping Chavvy out, this is closer to Bundesliga than Prem pace.

 

The switches of play now we actually had width down both sides are really helping us open them up. Spence is great down the left defensively and does put the yards in but we really need a natural left footer stretching the pitch whether at LB or LW going in the future.
