    HT. 0-1.

Dominated after a shaky opening 20 minutes and probably should have scored another, but our attacking patterns this game have been quite frustrating to watch.

Why do all of our players want the ball to feet? There's space in behind but no-one's making the run or is willing to play an incisive pass to split them open. Then we just end up recycling possession and rebuilding attacks from the back because the chance is gone.

We really need to show more cutting edge in the final third.

Ffs lol. The guy is getting used to a new role in CM and hasn’t had a huge amount of game time there. He’s 18 and nearing his trade at the top level

Cut the boy some slack and have some patience

Yeah, he's onside. The far side defender is playing him on. Great cross from Trossard and a lovely one-touch finish to put 2-0 up 60 seconds after the restart.

Merino was clearly being held there, I'm not sure why the referee's let that go and not given a free kick.

That's not a foul by Timber <laugh>. He wins the ball first time, and then the second time, the Slavia player collapses to the floor under virtually no contact.

Superb first time ball from Rice into Saka, who makes a great run, but his right-footed shot is weak and the goalkeeper saves. Unlucky, as I think he was off balance when he took the shot.

Norgaard cannot play a progressive pass to save his life <laugh>. He had a quite simple pass to play into Rice, who'd have been through on goal, and he overhit it.

Nwaneri off for Eze. Right move. Not a good evening for the 18-year old. But he'll learn and grow from this.

    0-3. Merino again <laugh>.

Goalkeeper should have got that, but not complaining. Rice with the cross from deep and Merino wins the header and it bounces in.

Game is done now, we need to take players off and start thinking ahead to the Sunderland match.
