Not sure if this is worth a thread or not or others feel the same way, but back seat drivers really p##s me off. Got one or two family members that can't seem to help but say the phrases

"what you going this way for"?

    "You should've went up there"

    "It's quicker the other way"

I usually answer with, "because I'm the f**kin driver".

I've had it in the past where I'm about to pull away and they're waving other cars out. Madness.

Also, if they are ever in the front, you come to a junction, check your left and they feel the need to lean forward and look aswell, blocking your view. Probably not something that bothers alot of of people and ofcourse there's alot worse things going on in the world, but it irritates the life out of me.

My Gran (non-driver) used to do that! She'd lean forwards and say a car was coming, then I'd sit and think I could have been out about four times now before the said car actually arrived!

She also used to adjust the wing mirror as she liked to see where we'd been as well <doh>

I'll hold my hands up and admit I'm a terrible passenger, but only when the driver is terrible too! One of the lads I go to the match with has a real problem with which lane to be in when navigating the roundabout on the 1231 at Queen Alexandra Bridge. I usually lose it when it's his turn to drive <laugh>

I think you might be braking a little too late. Take your time on the bends too, you'll wear your tyres out.

I’m a nervous passenger but that’s partly down to our lass driving like Mr Magoo
Never known anyone so oblivious to what’s going on around her, causes lots of arguments so I tend to drive

My missus insists on telling me that I’m too close to the wall when I’m reversing into the drive even though I’ve done the same manoeuvre thousands of times and I know exactly where the wall is <laugh>

My missus knows it all apparently. She does my ****ing head in with the “slowdown” “brake” and “why did you do that?” bollocks. If we go out together I let smartarse drive as we all know that she reversed into an uninsured Polish bloke down a one way street costing me £400. Never had an accident in my life apart from when I **** myself when she starts tailgating someone who’s pissed her off. ****ing psycho.

No matter how many times I tell my non driver sister that sometimes you go a certain way out of habit - that its not a case of not being able to drive whilst talking- you are still driving safely , it's just one brain cell in charge of route takes over -- she still won't understand. It's like when you need to go left at the roundabout for where you are going today, but 95% of all other trips, you always turn right.
