    Am I missing something? Why the hell has Beckham been knighted? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c17pzezw7l9o Did he play in a team that won the World Cup, but I missed it? Yet someone like Tony Jacklin, a trailblazer who won the US Open, and saved the Ryder Cup, isn't a 'sir'?

    It always makes me laugh how people can be so firmly anti-Royalist ...

    ... yet take the 'Honours' list so seriously.

    It's like people who are 'confirmed atheists' always put 'RIP' on messages about dead people.

    Not only that somehow I've resurrected on the Sunderland board, not the Hull City board which is where I thought I was. Ha!

    The elevation of Trevor Brooking to sainthood always puzzled me, seemed to get jobs just because his blazer was a good fit.

    Pushed for Steve McClaren to get the England job, won very little and relegated West Ham <laugh>
