I presume the non-life-threatening injuries had something to do with that haircut

Ok I can say it now because the national media have released details of the police reporting themselves.

Three incidents involving the Friday evening before the train attack, where a man had made several threats in Peterborough and a 14 year old boy had been stabbed.

Cambridgeshire police refers itself to watchdog.

A 14-year-old schoolboy was allegedly stabbed by Huntingdon suspect Anthony Williams the day before the horror train attack, police have said.

Cambridgeshire Constabulary said the boy was attacked in Peterborough on Halloween last Friday. The incident is believed to be one of three stabbing incidents carried out by the 32-year-old suspect.

But someone from just outside Bedford could jump on a train to Bedford to then jump on the train to London without leaving the station and therefore avoid scanners.

You happy to have to get to a train station an hour before departure every time to allow time for belts and keys etc. to be removed?

I think the attacker is a raving lunatic. Like all these lunatics even if we want to call them terrorists, there are generally warning signs. I think this guy particularly demonstrated those warning signs the day before the main attack. Also something that has been pointed out on this thread and that is taking knife crime seriously. Saturday needn't of happened if we had taken the events of Friday more seriously. Police took 18 minutes to respond to one of the calls of concern, regarding a man with a knife. Yet the police boast about on the main day of attack of having the attacker in custody within 8 mins of the original call. It's sort of like shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted...shame we hadn't done more in the 12 hours prior...but all easier said in hindsight.

Dunno about the smaller provinces and stations (i doubt they have it) but every border, tube station and train station in the major cities i have been to in china have scanners that everyone has to chuck their bag through (nothing to scan humans though).

    Hong Kong doesnt though

A couple of years ago I was visiting my youngest in Bournemouth. As we parked up we saw a bloke who was clearly either off his tits on smack or had severe mental health issues carry a **** off sized carving knife. We drove round keeping an eye on him I called the old bill and to their credit they turned up within minutes. They arrived, we told them exactly where he was and they calmly detained him. The whole thing lasted 10 minutes max.

That's what should have happened in this case on Friday and Saturday by the sounds of it.

I aint feeling sorry for the perpetrator but he's clearly ****ed up ... it says a lot about the state of social services and mental health services that these troubled people are left to become a danger.

Flicked on Sky News and they’re interviewing people acquitted of causing criminal damage to Stonehenge on why they damaged Stonehenge.

Obviously it’s a scruffy old bloke in a keffiyeh and a young girl who looks like Harry Potter.
