My guess is our players are not as physically robust as the average Prem player.

I think quite a lot of it is that we're having to work so hard just to stay in games, the opposite to last year where we ground down sides by keeping possession and making them chase us.

We've had a couple of unlucky injuries to be fair.

Burns is an ACL caused by having his knee over extended in the wrong direction in the challenge with Gakpo and Axel missed a lot of time from a freak injury in the kitchen.

And how sensible to select Delap for the U 21s.

Szmodics injured and, of course, we let go of Chappers. Maybe one of the new lads will have to start. Let’s hope it’s not too serious!

Clean sheet from Walton at the weekend - Sczmodics really hasn’t contributed. Akpom even less so. These injuries probably strengthen us.

Maybe that's how we'll end up with a consistent 11,last men standing?!

And Walton deserves his break after his own injury.

Unfortunately Walton is not good enough.

It’s about more than shot stopping. Commanding the defence and faster distribution are two things he does better than Palmer. Two wins on the bounce and a first away win say he’s good enough.

I hope I’m wrong but I don’t think he is the long term answer, the last run in the side was league 1 there is a reason for that.

Seems on brand for this thread to comment on Alan Judge’s retirement. Arguably our most exciting attacking player of the 2010s … :emoticon-0105-wink:
