just back would say not at the races first 30, very slopppy and dare say nervous arguably gifted them a goal but then it looked like he beat 3 players last 10 mins of first half and entire second half we completely bossed dont create enough clear cut chances but bottle that last 60 mins up to jug on and were good.
Well, we didn't turn up until the 31st minute, but after that we bossed Everton all over the pitch. I can honestly say that Xhaka is the best footballer I've seen in a Sunderland shirt, world class. Sitting 4th after 10 games is remarkable , bring on Arsenal.
Don’t know what was going on first 30,, happy with a point though. Think we’re definetly good enough to not worry about relegation. Wind ruined it
Not always going to get our own way. Everton started really well, though they gassed out in the second half and Moyes' subs were all over the shop. Many a time we would have quietly lost that game, but we nearly won it. We don t look a bad team, and there is more to come. Traore good tonight. But Xhaka man...
Poor first 30 during which conceded poorly. Thats partly cost 2 pts, but also being denied a handball penalty has cost 2 pts. So, disappointed because second half Everton were there for the taking ( we made them there for the taking) However, If the history books were to show -- Chelsea 1-1 Sunderland Sunderland 2-1 Everton. Newly promoted little Sunderland 4th in Prem and still 6pts and gd above the scum ......... my beer is still going down very happily !
Just back. Sloppy start (interesting that Xhaka picked up on that as a by product of poor training session). They could and really should have been 2 up. After that first half hour really did ok to be honest. If I am picky would like to see us create a little more. We will miss Sadiki mind but I suppose if there was a game to miss Arsenal might be better than others. Immensely proud of this team mind
Enjoyed the Jonny Evans interview, nice bloke. Probably my favourite loan player after Amad and Welbeck.
Just interviewed Enzo Le Fee post-match after Sunderland 1-1 Everton: “We can’t be happy with this point because we lost our 3 points the first 30 mins. I don’t know why we were so bad with the ball. “At HT, Regis reminded us of our standards and what he expects from us. The second half was our standard. Our football. “Everyone knows Granit Xhaka is a very good player on the pitch but the most important is he’s a good guy who brings so much to us to be the best.” #SAFC
Bertrand Traore was class tonight mind, 2.5 million to come sit on the bench they said, one even said our worst ever player. He was the only player who looked dangerous in 1v1's, for me, Le Bris should have had us set up with two wingers. We grew into it so can't complain too much. Good point.
That was interesting seeing him call out bad training publicly. What a signing, players with that elite mentality are invaluable.
Said our training session was ****e yesterday and he wasn't surprised we started badly because that's how it works.
Said the first 20 minutes reflected a bad training session and they started like they had finished the session
