But not too early to make judgement on Still? The blokes had since February to plan for this season. And we sit 21st in the table and sacking the manager. Now, I agree he isn't the biggest problem, but again, he is a problem and part of the jigsaw that is tearing the club apart.
Azaz, Fellows (good players already, but wanted league experience in the XI) Roerslev, Jander, Scienza, and Jelert all look like good additions so far. If he indeed does go to Juventus, it won't be because he's not considered to be any good. Again, Still hasn't worked out, but he was a good option on paper.
I wouldn't be calling any of them good signings right now. We're 21st in the table. They might be good individual players, but right now, not a single one of them can be considered good for us in the here and the now.
When we start getting results, they might be considered good signings, but until then, they've been part of the **** and sadly, will be tarnished with that brush. We're 21st in the league. Nothing that has been part of that can be considered a success.
I wish Will and his partner all the best, he had to go though. I'm glad that this hasn't dragged on and that we still have plenty of points to play for this season.
Well this will be fun won't it! If you believe stories on social media, it will be either the kid from the U21s, Martin, Hassenhutl or Koeman!! Only one of those names has SRs DNA all over it and it's the el cheapo option! Whoever is appointed, I personally will back them as I always do, and I will back them longer than most as I always do.....having said that FFS SR please appoint someone with experience playing/managing/both in the top 2 divisions of English Football. Someone who will get instant respect, not yet another experiment. Thanks for your time Will, wish you all the best for the future, may your career be resureccted somewhere else and you show people that you are capable.
Robbie Savage was on the telly box last night; managing Forest Green Rovers in a cup tie vs Luton Town - managed by Jack Wilshire. Would take either of them at this point tbh.
Savage's early managerial career record is excellent actually, but all non-league. Was quite surprised to see just how well he seems to be doing. Way way too early to judge if Wilshere is a good manager or not though, hes only been in charge of 6 league games....
Can you really blame him. Nobody likes to be sacked especially when it’s so public. He also has a sick wife to look after.
Quite surprised that anyone is calling our signings this summer "good". Leo is the only one who has remotely held himself above the rest. The others seemed to have settled nicely into the "oh we lost? I don't give a ****" culture that we've beautifully constructed at this club.
Two very public sackings back to back too. Not quite sure why any manager would want to work for SR, it looks like an utterly miserable experience.
